I think the thing that makes anime resonate with us most is, no matter how bleak, or nonsensical the situation is, there’s always hope. And it reminds me of the famous Neil Gaimon quote:
Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.
A quote I hold true and dear to my heart to this day.
